Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain

Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain are artists who work a lot on the brink of graphics, they are often concerned with typography and language. These are two pieces from their website which use interesting systems to look at things in a different way.

Chris Ofili

Saw the Chris Ofili exhibition at Tate Britain while I was in London. These are two of my favourites from it, above is Afro Daze, look closer and you will see alot of tiny inky afros. Below is The Upper Room, a room was purpose designed to display these thirteen paintings which gave it an almost churchlike feel. Each individual painting is stunning and brightly coloured and patterned.

Bobbin Bicycles

This has to be the best bike shop EVER!

"Bobbin is all about summoning up the feeling they got from riding their first bike - a heady sense of possibility, freedom, excitement and adventure."

The website is fab, illustrated by an in house designer and I'm sure the islington boutique is just as good. They sell classic bikes like pashleys (which are beautiful, its my birthday coming up...... anyone feeling generous?) and the best collection of cycling accessories I've ever seen, High vis vests are substituted with hello sailor reflective collars and ugly helmets are made to look like bowler hats and deer stalkers. AMAZING!
